From the Introduction:
"Various ecosystem mapping projects have been conducted in the central Okanagan Valley in the past decade, including: Central Okanagan and South Slopes3, Kelowna and Ellison4, and Joe Rich5. Changes to provincial standards for ecosystem mapping have occurred since some of these projects were completed, as well as changes to ecosystems from recent development in some areas. In order to conform to the provincial standards, and to perform a conservation analysis, the project areas were compiled and updated or revised where necessary."
