Join The Okanagan Nation Alliance (ONA) for a one day Syilx Water Tour and gain a deeper understanding of Syilx responsibility to siwɬkʷ and the timixʷ. 

The day will start with a Syilx Water Ceremony on nx̌ʷaqʷaʔstn (Mission Creek). Attendees will then tour the watershed with Syilx elder’s and knowledge holders who will share place names, protocols, and the Syilx natural laws regarding ukʷnakinx (Okanagan) watershed. Other stops on the tour will include the kł cp̓əlk̓ stim̓ Hatchery, Penticton Oxbows Restoration site, and significant Syilx siwɬkʷ (water) places. We will also be joined by drinking water protection and wetlands restoration experts. A Syilx catered hot lunch will be also provided at the En’owkin Centre in Penticton.

This event will take place outside at various locations, please make sure to wear weather appropriate clothing and footwear.

There are limited seats for this events and it is expected to sell out, make sure to purchase your tickets right away. This year’s event will be different from the previous year’s as it is more experiential with smaller group sizes for enriched dialogue and connection.
